This dramatic Queen Anne style house was built in 1923. It is an eye catcher from the street with a well-landscaped rose garden along the left side of the yard. Stone and brick stairs lead to the front porch. One of the most distinctive features of the house is its tin shingle and standing seam roofs. Inside, the two-story house has 2,760 square feet. On the first floor, french doors lead from the hall into the parlor and then into the dining room. A breakfast nook, kitchen, laundry room, bathroom, and extra closet space are in the rear of the house. A grand hall showcases the stairs to the second floor. The second floor has kept its historic floor plan with three large bedrooms and one bathroom. An apartment with open floor plan occupies Mrs. Stromsland?s former beauty parlor on the enclosed porch. This two bedroom, one-and-a-half bath space is separated from the rest of the house by two locked doors. Several original light fixtures remain throughout the house. Other features of the house include a partial basement and a fenced back yard with an herb garden and a dog run. All appliances convey with sale. |
