George Watts Hill Leadership Circle

George Watts Hill Sr.

Preservation Durham's George Watts Hill Leadership Circle recognizes individual and corporate donors of at least $1000 annually to Preservation Durham's general fund. Mr. Hill was a banker, businessman, civic leader, and philanthropist who influenced many areas of Durham life for half a century. He was one of the first to recognize the vision of Preservation Durham, and generously funded the Society's first publication Bull Durham and Beyond. Preservation Durham is pleased to honor him with this membership category and to thank members of his family who carry on his tradition of philanthropy.
